Could be an Ulmuls Parvifolia 'Seiju', but I cannot determine the exact size of the leaves. Maybe have a look here:

No, I don't think it is as old as you think it is, probably far less than 100 years.

I think the bark of mine is lighter in color.
Hard to find some pictures to compare with.

That's possible, i wil mesure the leafs tonight.
I think i will never know for sure.
It's difficult to find good pictures to compare.

Ulmus parvifolia nire keyaki is also possible.

I'm 100% sure that its the Corkbark elm (ulmus nigra), you can look it up yourself on google. In fact I have the same tree just much smaller your tree is much older this the bark has more character. Our leaves are identical

How are the latest leaves that come out? Are they also a little red?
What's the color of your leaves in fall?

Mostly golden yellow, sometimes slightly red in the fall but that can vary depending on its position to the sunlight, fertilizer and several other factors.
That was a picture of mine from this morning. The new growth on your leaves have a slight red/brown appearance and that is normal, it becomes more noticeable if its new growth exposed to cold temperatures 35-40 F

I had contact with the nursery who imported the tree. It is from yapan.
Seiju is original from the usa, if the info i found is correct.

Do you have a link with info about the ulmus nigra?
I can't find mutch.
