I’ve nicked the roots even I was bareful as possible.

"BAREFUL"
Language of "B"?
Option 01- Bare (as in "bareroots"), which is risky if you have just divided its roots. Keeping some original soil is always safer...
Option 02- Ful (as in "full of assurance", or better, "careful"), which is always advisable when repotting.

Haha! Maybe my subconscious mind get infected by LB’s words. Typos doesn’t matters till everyone understands :)

BTW, in which soil mix have you planted the quartered azaleas?

I used 70% Rhododendron soil mix & 30% Seramis and covered with Rhodo mix. I left as much old soil around the rootball as possible.

These will be fine.
Just check them and see whether the cutback was indeed how you want the basic structire of the the tree to be.
Nice to see someone who reads up and then has the guts to take bold steps. This is where the real learning comes in.

Thanks, I feel more hopeful about them :) I couldn’t decide on the moment about the structure. It was too much tree in the same time and I felt to do just the fast and easy work. I’ll study them one by one to find the best base structure for their further styling.

Aw! Maybe with one I’ll go to raise the roots. I need to figure out how to build a container for this. Maybe if I use a good diameter plumbing tube and I cutting down gradually?

I must feel it and live on to learn, but sometimes it costs lives. Don’t praise me too much, cause I’ll became a swell headed elitist :side:

Ohw, such a let down. I would love to have my emotions trampled by some 4 inch heels. Ah well. Back to boots and trees it is.
