Shaping and Re-potting Ficus (?) Bonsai was created by Zena

Hello everyone!
I am new here and hoping to get advice on two Bonsai plants (photo below). I think they are Ficus Bonsai, but not sure of their origin, and think these are the original pots (3”). I would like to re-pot them and coax them to grow fuller rather than upward. What would be the best pot size, and should I cut off the top branch on each? The one plant has leaves on just one branch. Thanks, any advice is appreciated

This is why I thought they were bonsai, maybe the wrong tag? Thanks for your reply

The tag is twice wrong indeed -but that is not by mistake.
Have you ever seen a real bonsai? This does not even remotely look like one.

Okay, thanks much No, I've never seen a real bonsai, and thought I was doing something wrong or that they hadn't matured. I can see that the trunks are very different. Also, these were given to me - any idea what they are?
