My tree has 2 cascading branches...I’m not sure what to do w/them?

This is a young tree that needs some growing yet. There is only one cascading branch, and that may or may not be the one to go with. I would want to get a decent trunk and more branching before doing anything other than watering and fertiliser for the next year at least, including dropping on into a larger pot.

Well I re euved as a starter tree w/ instructions to START...curious as to why that would be valeting it grow for another year?

In order to grow a bonsai, you need a trunk. This plant does not have a trunk. It is effectively, a cutting. So a very young tree.

Let it grow. Yes. I would say several years instead of a year. In the meantime you will have time to learn about training a tree into a bonsai
