hi everyone, i have been growing an oak tree from seed in a pot for about four years now and it hasnt been doing so great lately. the roots are brown and i dont know how to make them healthy white. also the tree took a really bad turn when i went on a two week vacation and the person who was supposed to water it for me didnt water it once and it was completely dried out. all the leaves crisped up and turned brown. the tree itself still has some green in the stock but it is getting stiffer as the days go one. please give me some advice on how to revive it. i really dont wan to lose this tree.

ps. i am a total rookie and this is my first tree. i found an acorn under an oak tree my sister planted and i sprouted it to make it a bonsai

Well, we didn't see any pictures, but after two weeks with no water in the Spring, I guess it is a goner.

i know I'm sorry. i dropped my phone in the lake the other day i am drying it out. hopefully it is ok. i don't have any pics on my computer. but all the leaves became crunchy but the trunck is still green. near the top it is getting harder. and a couple of the newly sprouted branches from this year snapped off. is there anything i can do to try to help it survive? to give you an idea of what it looks like just think of a thin stick about 10 inches long sticking out of a pot of dirt with a couple small branches lol.

I am afraid this is not giong to make it. Nothing you can do. Take the whole thing out of the container, plant it in the garden and wait for spring.
