TOPIC: My dad thinks his Azalea is dying

My dad thinks his Azalea is dying 2 months 1 week ago #44428

Hi,

My dad's had his bonsai for YEARS and recently it's looking a little worse for wear.
Please see the photos below, the top doesn't appear to have any new growth at all and now he's concerned the rest is dying out.

There's been no changes to how he looks after it at all so the change is a little weird?
We're in the South West of England, UK. Admittedly we've had some weird weather this year but we're not sure what's wrong.

If anyone has any ideas that would be great?

Thank you!

If the care has not changed I wonder when it was last repotted?

I think that for this tree, you should try and get advice from someone local, Maybe someone from a bonsai club or a real bonsai nursery. It is not so easy to try and figure iut what the problem is from pictures and text alone. Looks like a great tree, would be a shame to loose ut.

If this is an azalea.. I would not be worried anymore. It is over the edge. An azalea that at the end of summer has no foliage is pretty much gone.
