Scars left from tight wire on Juniper was created by Ricky73

Hi all - Being still quite a beginner, I've neglected my Chinese Juniper, as I forgot to remove the older wire on a couple of branches.
The result is quite visible here: bad scars left on the branch after removing the wire...
Is there any way to slightly mask these scars? Will time heal them a little? Or shall I live with them until I decide I will prune those branches?
Thanks!

Ricky, time will take care of those wire marks, just be patient.

Hm.. difference of opinion here. Elms have thin bark and will not easily hide these marks, me thinks...

Oh shoop.

Yeah, with juniper, you will have a better luck with getting rid of the scars. Not sure why I got to think it was an elm.
