Hi, I'm a first time bonsai owner and was given care instructions to water 30ml every 2-3 days with indirect sunlight. I think these instructions might have led us to this state . I'm guessing this might be a serissa japonica (or foetida?). I've attached the before (when we brought it home 3 weeks ago) and after photos of it. This morning, we added on top of the soil some coffee powder that was brewed more than 5 times to remove the acidity, not sure if it will help as a fertilizer? Any advice? Please help!!

Sorry, but could you post the correct picture? Seems you uploaded a picture of a plant in a glass container in stead of a picture of your bonsai.
Hi, your Serissa is in bad shape, and I guess watering and sun are the culprits.
Put it close to a good source of indirect sunlight (a window, for instance) and water it when the soil looks dry.
Don't move it around, Serissas are very sensitive to changing places.
Thanks for your quick replies! We will now leave it in a area with more sunlight and water more frequently when the soil looks dry. Fingers crossed! Can I get your views on the used coffee powder, will it be effective as fertilizer or will it harm the bonsai instead?
