Bonsai trunk gone soft was created by snippets

Hello everyone,

I bought this Ficus Microcarpa Ginseng Bonsai little over a year ago when I moved into my new flat; I left it near the window in indirect sunlight and it went well for the most part but recently I noticed that the trunk has started to go soft even though new branches started to come out on all sides; One of the branches also has a milky substance coming out ; It is my first bonsai and would love to be able to save it;
What can I do to save it before it's too late? Is it the way I watered it, does it need trimming/pruning? I live in London.

Hope someone sees this soon and can give me some tips! Thank you

Spend a little time on this forum and you will see this type of plant and its problems, including root rot, are discussed frequently.

You will also find that it is frequently explained why this is not a Bonsai.
