Hello there!

Im a relatively new bonsai tree owner. I’ve had a Chinese Elm named Bon Bon for almost a year now and we’ve had our ups and downs. Lately, I’ve noticed that some thing has been growing at the base of the trunk and at the edges of the pot. Are these weeds or are they new Chinese Elm saplings? I hope its the latter since I would like to grow a new bonsai tree as well as make a new one out of a moringa tree, so I would also appreciate advice on those subjects if thats okay. Thanks for your time and advice!
