Hi everyone, I want to try my second attempt on growing bonsai with my new tree after my previous juniper died unfortunately..
Everything was going fine until his roots started to rot after a week or so, I'm not sure if the reason was wrong watering, stress or wrong root cutting..
I want to try my second bonsai with an unusual tree - Mimosa Pudica (the shy plant), a fast growing tree, about 2 years old grown in a 15 cm height pot and already stopped growing taller.
I'm looking for a generous person who can guide me through the whole process and tell me what to do to make it a bonsai and prevent stress and loss.
Which soil to use for this specific plant, how to cut, prune and how much sun / water it needs for optimal health.
I already have many ground materials such as:
Basic ground fertilized mix
Quartz sand
Red loam soil
Compost
Perlite
Vermiculite
ground tuff
ground clay
I live in a southern hot and humid country, the plant is sitting in the porch with few hours of morning sunlight, moderate watering through the summer and about once a week in the winter, so far the plant grew well.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
