No.
Leave it alone for the moment.

At least half of the tree is dead. It is really sad to see this happen. Please see the photos attached. You can see the bottom is still green but the top isn't.

I am in Uk and struggling to find the reason for exactly the same you are having. Dropping all leaves suddenly for apparently no reason, was it the random heat wave then sudden freeze again?

It has been like this for a while. I think it may of been due to it being by the window in the winter. It is the only place to get the most sunlight, but the biggest draw back is its also the coldest place due to the draft. I am now just trying to see what I can do to save it.

It's almost impossible to kill s ficus, unless...
Temperatures are below 15 C.
Yes, even a mild cold can kill it.
That being said, don't lose hope. Your tree can spring back, give it some time to recover.

I saw you pruned the little branches. Did you hit green inside? If not, I would hard-prune the big branch until I notice green inside - seal it - in order to force new buds in. I think that branch is not dead all the way. But if it is, you can always cut it all the way down and make your alive branch the new leader.

Why would you further damage the tre.

Just leave it alone for the time being. You can do the beauty treatment when you have the plant healthy and strong again.
