Hello friends,

I have planted two jacaranda mimosifolio bonsais from seed.

I know I have to start pruning, pitting , root stuf etc etc. but my question is what’s first? Should I repot and cut roots so they grow horizontal? Should I let it grow for a year. Please see pictures and advise me on the next steps. I really enjoy growing and manipulating plants

A plant this young cannot be considered a bonsai at this time. What you have is very young, raw material that needs a couple of years of growth.
This plant has fairly large, compound leaves which means you will need to grow a large size bonsai.

Growing bonsai takes time. You cannot prune/wire/repot all at the same time. You do this over the course of a couple of years. Plants need time to recover.

you can't wire a plant that is not woody yet... complimenting what auk said, I would let this plant grow, for a long time, before I do anything with it. At least a few years.

As a jacaranda grower myself I can safely say it can be wired even when quite young, but...
The new growth is very fragile and breaks easily, so don't do it if you are not very good at wiring.

While it’s growing indoor, any tips? What I should watch for as it gets older and things I should do?

I'm not familiar with the growth and particulars of this plant... but usually the first thing to get in order is the trunk... a trunk that is wide at the base, and gets thinner towards the top and also is not 100% straight as an arrow.
have a look at different trees of this species... or at what others have done with it on bonsai... copying what they did may not be possible, but it gives you an idea how it could look.

@tubaboy ..You say the first thing is the trunk, how do I strain a thick bottom truck and thinner as it goes up?

Also since this tree is you h do I need to prune the top so it doesn’t get y’all or do I let it grow and years later worry about that?

some trees take well to trunk chops, others do not... like I said, I'm not familiar with this species.

leatherback's website has some good articles on how to get trunk thickness among other things... but like I said, see if there is anything on how well this species backbuds, how well it reacts to trunk chops, and how quickly it grows.
