I have an Satsuki Azalea (had if for about 9-10 months now) the plant overall seems to be growing well. I make sure the soil is not completely dry before I water the plants. And feed bonsai food once every 2-3 weeks. The only concern I have is natural, since I live in an apartment we don't get much sunlight, so I compensated that with a full spectrum light and keep it on for about 12-14 hours a day. The new leaves that pop up are pretty healthy but the senior once seem to droop. Attaching a few pictures. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

My apologies i am new to Bonsai care. Considering the temperatures were dropping below 35 during the nights and between 40-50 during the day and moving the Plant frequently would be bad for the plant we never moved it from its location.
I wasn't sure if Azalea's can take low temperatures, can you advice what temperatures are tolerable by the Bonsai ?

Posted 6 years 7 months ago #47776Azaleas hate wet feet. But a dry azalea is a dead azalea. Lettig the first 2-3cm dry out would be too much in my garden. I would be worried.

They REALLY ARE fussy.
They hate hard water.
They die if there is some lime in the soil.
They die if the PH is higher than 8.
They like sun, but not much.
They like shade, but not much.
And...
I KILL THEM ALL!
