Not used a lot because the leaves are big and difficult to reduce.
Grown for the flowers, but I have never seen a good bonsai out of it.

In nature they grow very straight and very tall. They were used for ships' masts way back when.

There was one growing outside my window when I was a kid. They have a huge number of flowers, which are bigger than the leaves. I thought about making a bonsai, but every single book, etc., discouraged, so I haven't.

If you like the flowers, go for it.
