New to this forum and bonsai. But I got these two plants as a Christmas present. I'm not sure what kind it is, since I can't find a pic that looks like it. Any ways they came in the same pot. About a month ago I decided to try and repot them in separate pots. And these pics are the results. Could anyone please help me understand how and where I went wrong. I'd like to try and save the one in the blue pot but the one in the black pot is probably hopeless. Thank you

Hello, you have to insert the pictures in the post, otherwise they don't get attached.
