Hello, I have a question after watching many YouTube tutorials about "Bonsai Rules" and branch selection.
It's about not having multiple branches on the same spot, only dividing in two branches.
Otherwise it will become too thick at that part.
I am trying to implement this rule on my bonsais but I find it hard
So in the attached picture that I've borrowed the apex have 3-4 branches at the same spot but still looks awesome!
Could someone please explain this to me?

This tree follows the rules, but notice that 'no branches at the same height' is important for the lower branches, but less for the higher, thinner branches.

The apex only seems to have 3 or 4 branches, thats often the problem with pictures: 2d, no depth. If you look closely the branches don't start from the same point. you can see the most front one as the 'trunk", the other grown from different points a bit highel and lower on that trunk. Its hard to see.
Second: it is a rule, but as it is with a lot of rules... It's often more a " feeling", or depends on which style you want to follow ( strictly japanese, or more naturalistic euopean, ..), ...
