Two things please help!

I found this white deposit while adding fertilizer. The object is hard but crumbles with force and makes a crusty crackling sound when squeezed.
The second image is of the same tree, Satsuki azalea, I’ve had this one for about two to three months and it has not bloomed at all, but instead has looked like this for the most part. I was wondering if I could get an overall general assessment as to if this is normal or am I doing something wrong. Thank you in advance

That is a dead plant - you kept it inside and that’s the reason it died
