Compare it with Chamaecyparis obtusa Chirimen

I thought that at first or maybe a Sekka but both those have elongating growth where this is more clumpish ( no long leaders ever shown). Another factor is that this tree is rootbound in the pot ( for how many years?), next spring I with plant in bonsai soil and a training pot after root pruning. Hope that will help the balance of water and oxygen.
