Hey everyone, first time attempting to grow bonsai. I planted my seeds about 10/11 days ago, but recently i've noticed more and more white cotton-looking mold(?) growing on the soil. Would anyone know anything about this and if its bad for the seeds?

Looks like mycorrhizal fungi to me.

If I open any bag of potting compost I have in the shed, I'm likely to find some sort of mould / fungi growing in it. Lots of evidence to show that this is actually beneficial for plant growth.

That being said, it is a sign that the airflow around your pots is probably not sufficient.

Where are these pots currently sited?
Is it spring where you live?

They need more air flowing among them.

i often get that type of mold when the soil is moist all the time and i dont have airflow.

you should let the top layer of soil dry a little before you water dont let it dry too much tho

The pots are currently in a basket provided by the company, garden republic. If I took the pots out of the box and kept them on a sheet would that improve the fungi? And no, it's fall.

Completely wrong moment to start from seed.
Sow in spring, after a cold period for the seeds, and keep them outside where they belong.
