Complete beginner here. I received my 3 year old chinese elm about a month ago. I live in florida where the temps can get above 100f in the summer and about 70-80 in winter. I currently have the tree outside and im slowly acclimating it to more sun. Will the tree be able to handle the summer temperature? I was thinking about taking it inside for the summer. Its doing really well right now with a good amount of new growth. Thanks for any help.

Don't take it inside. Trees die inside.
Give it some shade and enough water in the hottest periods. It will do just fine

I also was curious about dunking the whole pot to water it. I've seen a lot of conflicting opinions.

No conflicting opinions about it. Do not do it. It causes excessive compaction and gets everything way too wet.
