I bought my first bonsai from Home Depot. It didn't say what type it was, but I think it is a fukien tea bonsai. I have attached a picture for reference. Could someone please let me know what type of bonsai this is? Any pointers on care for this type of tree would be appreciated as well :)

Also, the pot that it came with has no drainage holes. I've since read that drainage is important. Is it necessary for the bonsai to have a drainage hole in the pot?

yeah, you are right. Carmona.

The drainage holes are to make sure the roots do not drown, yet that you can water sufficiently. All plants should have a drainage hole, tbh
