So I bought this poinciana recently for a great price and noticed that it was fairly rootbound, I am I'm Australia so we have plenty of growing time left so I was advised to take of around 1 third of the roots just to free up some space, when raking out the roots gently I did notice that a decent amount did come off with the soul so I decided not to cut back rather just tidy them up. So with around 1/3 gone maybe a little extra a few days it has been now and the leaves are beginning to yellow, just looking for advice on what to do or if it is as simple as just waiting to see what happens .
Cheers

The plant is reacting to the root job. All you can do is put it in the shade, make sure it is well watered and wait.
