Got this Chinese Elm (Hokkaido) today. Accidentally snapped off the main trunk and left with only a twig. I decided to try to bring out and shape and arrange the roots. Will probably put a rock underneath some of them. How does this look? Is there potential here or did I ruin it?

What I’m thinking will be the front. The large root and the decapitated trunk provide a strong frame for the new twiggy trunk.
