As a few people know, I got a Chinese elm bonsai. Just in case you didn't see my bonsai, I will attach images. On my bonsai (or shall I say mallsai), the lowest branch goes down at an almost 90º angle. I wanted to correct it, but I didn't want to wire it. The higher branches are sturdy and in place, but the lowest one is flexible. Hence, I wanted to use rubber bands to correct it. The rubber bands aren't tight at all, but it still keeps the branch in place. I don't want to torture the tree right after receiving it, so I am going to keep it outside.
I'll attach some pics of before and after tomorrow.
