Hi everyone! This January I received an indoor Fukien Tea bonsai and it has been going great so far. About two weeks ago my bonsai began to wilt and leaves slowly began to turn brown and drop. I've been watering it so that the soil is moist and until water runs out of the bottom into the humidity tray. I also added new slow-release fertilizer pellets to the soil a few days ago but it has not improved. The leaves began to turn brown from the bottom towards the top. Is there any way for me to save my tree? I've attached pictures and any help is much appreciated!

The critical point was when this tree left the production facility marked as indoor and sent to temperate countries.

Carmona just dont survive indoors in temperate countries.

So for future reference it should be kept outside year round? I just don't understand why it started to die now.

Like all of us, trees need energy to survive. They get that energy from the sun.

It had a store of energy but being indoors could not get enough sun to replace what it was using. When the store ran out it dropped leaves and finally died.

It depends where you are. In the tropics, yes. In temperate regions it must be protected from low temperature.

If you are in the northern hemisphere the timing for leaf drop and first time the heating system kicks in is often same.
