I have a ton of plants in the yard, and though, I'm unsure which one would be interesting, helpful, and/or easy to start with, and I don't really know what would look aesthetically pleasing with a beginner's knowledge, or if any of the plants I have are even worth a shot. I live in Miami, so the weather's always hot and humid, if that matters. The list goes as so:
  • A few different species of mangos, unsure of the specifics
  • Loquats
  • Tamarind
  • Moringa
  • Croton
  • Avocado
  • Longan
  • Lychee
  • Olive, also unsure of the species, but it's never bore fruit.
  • Calamansi
I have more, but I'd have to trek through the yard, though, I don't believe any of the rest have small leaves that might be pleasing to look at. Anyway, would trying my hand at it with one of these be worthwhile, or would it be wise to find something else?

Olives makes good bonsai and are quite easy as they backbud readily even from a bare stump.
