Sunlight required? was created by DonKapas

Hi,

I have a few Bonsais (azalea, accer, malus, prunus, olea europaea, morus nigra and punica granatum) on my balcony, but it only receives direct sunlight from May till September. I'm afraid if they will not survive without sunlight the rest of the year. I live in a flat and I don't have other place to put them.

The lack of direct sun will damage them?

Thanks in advance.

BC.

Hello.
Did you buy all of them in a season?
I think that most of them will die... 4 months per year of direct sunlight is not enough for most species...
Consider letting them with someone.

Yes you understood it right, they are outside. If you think they will die I need to find a fast solution for this. I'll not let them die, for sure.

That's good to know. I'm feeling more positive after reading your message.

Do you have similar tree species?

Your garden doesn't get direct sunlight for 4,5 months, his balcony doesn't get direct light for 8 months...
So Idk, I don't have this situation here.

Hopefully, as most of his trees are deciduous, but September til' May without direct light includes most of Spring... But let's hope so :)
