HELP!

I just got my bonsai a few weeks ago. I am a newbie and clueless. I didn't study up. Kids and work just swallow up my day. I was hoping this would bring some calm into my life. What educational material I am finding online seems really general. I didn't realize how quickly my new bonsai could get weak! Photos attached.

I am worried about what is happening. I kept it indoors for a few days, then it's been outdoors for 3 weeks, lots of rain lately, and it changed to this just in the last week. I am trying watering twice a day. I just started misting the branches now. I saw some youtube videos that said when it is like this not to trim it or else it will definitely die so I haven't trimmed it.

1) What am I doing wrong? Can it recover? Is it too late?
2) I have spiders in my backyard but haven't seen any one it. Is that the problem?
3) I thought maybe I used some soft water that may cause some problem in watering?
4) The weather has been unpredictable - freezing, than super hot then lots of rain - would that cause this?
5) Will fertilizer help?

First do not water to a schedule, water when the surface is just starting to dry. Was that like it when you got it? Looks as if it has been like that for some time.
No fertiliser at the moment while it is weak. Never take it inside, you say freezing and hot what temperatures, Closer picture of the growth would help as it is difficult to tell what might be causing the damage. Spiders are harmless to trees.

Did you bring it steaight into full sun? How was the light conditions in the place you bought it from?

It was green when I got it a month ago. Temperatures were from 12-35 degrees in past month. Yes it's been in full light. Now I am trying to shade it a little as the previous owner suggested that. I am misting the branches. And watering when dry only. Some lower parts are turning brown now.

What are the yellow tips a sign of? How soon can I see signs of recovery? I'll post pics later today or tomorrow.

The yellow tips is a sign of a struggeling tree. It is not possible to tell why it is struggeling based on a picture.

If yoy get things right you will see signs of recovery next spring.

Do not let the soil go dry ever. It needs to stay moist to wet at all times. If you are not sure if it needs water or not, just water it.

Question, did you "hedge prunned" with scissors?

Next spring is a long time. The winter will hit minus 30 and minus 40 even so I don't know if it will survive that long.

Do you have junipers growing in the forests around you? According to usda hardiness classification they should make it down to minus 35. If you are in a place that gets a lot of snow, just put it on the ground and let the snow cover it. Under the snow temperatures seldom drop below minus 10. Snow provides good isolation and protect from wind chill.

I haven't prunned it. Maybe the previous owner did.

Pictures from today attached. You can see there are some parts that are turning brownish on the lower parts...

Soil looks dry on the photos. The dieing moss suggests underwatered as well.

It seems like it is protected from wind. I would think that there are a risk that it gets very warm there. Junipers can endure quite a lot of heat, but then it will need a lot of water.
