Hi, I have been trying to save my bonsai, but it seems no matter what I do nothing is working. Last week I repotted the tree and watered it and let it rest for the week. I gave it some additional water today because the soil was a little dry. However prior to repotting it, When I would water it leaves will turn yellow and would fall, Well then when I wouldn’t water at the leaves would turn yellow and fall. Now that I have reported it all the leaves are falling off and I just don’t know what to do. I have it under a grow light currently. Based upon the research I’ve done on this website I appear to have a Dwarf Jade. I have provided pictures below. One in the original pot, and two from tonight. This is my first bonsai. Please help

If it is a dwarf jade you are overwatering.

I was incorrect. This is a Fukien Tea carmona.

Ahh, fukien tea. Then you may need to turn somewhere else. In this forum we have several hundreds "help my fukien is dieing" threads, but noone that have an answer and noone that have kept this species healthy long term.

Next time, read up on species before purshasing and stay away from "indoor" trees.

It was a gift.

They usually are. One of the hardest to grow species that ends up as a gift for totally newbies. What can go wrong

Now you have one more experience and knowledge. Tell people not to buy these trees, especially not for people that know nothing about bonsai.
