I recently got a chinese elm. i leave it inside by a bay window and water it and mist it well. on the side facing away from the window some leaves are turning yellow, but there is also new growth all over the tree. are the yellow leaves a bad thing and what should i do to fix them?

Hi Robert.
Welcome to the forum
How often do you water it? How do you determine when it needs water? Can you post a picture?

howdy robert,
since the tree is sprouting it just may be acclamating to its new surrounding. seeing the yellow leaves are only on one side it may be a light issue.the ficus i have in windows i turn every couple days to give all sides light .this also stops the tree from pulling to one side streaching for light.
