I have a few bonsai on the go and check them daily. In the past 24hrs my Ash garden (4 Ash trees, roughly 2/3ft planted on rocks) have all shrivelled up. We've had no excess heat/sun and the weather has been regularly wet. Should I be worried?

 

Have you watered them? Being on rock they will dry out fast, just because it has been raining does not mean you don't water.

I normally water them all every second day but haven't been able to the past 4/5 days because it has been raining.

Never water to a schedule, this year I have had to water all my trees every day since Easter, and many days twice, and as I said just because it has rained does not mean it has enough water especially on rock. 

Ok, well the other 30 or so trees are fine and this happened within the space of 24hrs so im not sure watering is the issue. It only happened to these trees and 1 acer, which isn't on a rock.

Sounds like water to me, classic sign of lack of water, leaves shrivel up in short time.

I'll explain again in case anyone else has any suggestions.

I have multiple bonsai, some on rocks, some just in pots, various different types.

I have multiple Ash planted on rocks, but this one pot seems to have died in the space of 24hrs.
I have an Acer in a massive pot, not on a rock, it too died in the space of 24hrs same night.

All other trees in pots, on rocks, raised out of soil or currently rooting are perfectly fine.

We have had rain consistently for almost a week now.

Anyone any advice?

Did you water even if it was raining? I have to with my pots unless it is heavy. The fact that these plants are on rock is the clue, they need to be kept watered, just because there has been some rain does not mean there is enough.

 In the niddle of a thunderstorm so cant get out to water them.

Acer isnt on a rock.
