Hi,
I have always wanted to get into Bonsai’s. I just got a small one (picture attached). I’m looking for help with identifying it to a more detailed level than Juniper. Also I really don’t have a place to put it outside which after reading about Junipers I see they anre outdoor types. Can I still grow it inside?
Any help with identification and general guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin

Junipers can not be kept indoors. They need seasons, nightly drops in temperature and light that you can't replicate indoors.

Those pourly rooted cuttings sold at big box stores are usually juniperus procumbens "nana".
However your picture is not good enough to properly identify. Try to take photos without light coming from the back of the tree as well as closup on the foliage.

Yes!! Procumbens "nana".
If you hang around in the bonsai comunity for a wile you will notice that many bonsai artists dislike this species. The reason beeing it is so knowledge and skill demanding and work consuming to develop.
And it is sold by milions to beginners:)
