becoming pale and yellowing in some spots. I think its because of the lack of light? I added more light today but i'd like some suggestions first before it gets worse. thanks in advance.

Where are you? When did the seedling sprout?
If in the northern hemisphere you are in the middle of winter and the seedling should probably be dormant. If in the southern hemisphere it should be outside in the wind, rain, and sun.

im in florida, the little booklet i received with the bonsai starter kit suggested i leave it inside the house with "growing" lights. It's why I currently have the bonsai inside.

You can throw away that "little booklet". It will not help you.
Trees sprout naturally in spring. Forcing them to sprout off season makes weak trees that dies sooner or later.
Put your conifer seeds outdoors and hope your winter is cold enough for them to sprout come spring.

The evergreens are going to have trouble in Florida because they require a long cold dormant period. Norway just isn't the same weather as Florida.
The jacaranda may do okay but you will need to keep it well watered. It could probably go outside year round there. Check the care guides for that and poinciana here on the Empire website.

I checked the hardiness zones in Florida and matched it to your species hardiness zone recomendation.
The conifers is just to forget about. You will not be able to keep them alive where you live. Look for other conifer species around you in nature, in gardens and in garden centers. They are the species to go for if you want conifers.
Poinciana fits perfect in all of Florida and should be grown outdoors all year round.
Jacaranda fits good in the warmest places in Florida. In the colder parts you may need to protect them in a shed or something the coldest part of the year.
But you still have the issue with the trees sprouted on the wrong time of the year. It will be tricky to keep them alive and adapt to the correct season. Given your level of knowledge and experience, I guess impossible.
These bonsai seed kits is just a big scam. There are no such thing as bonsai species or bonsai seeds. The kits is just overpriced normal seeds. But a mix of species that just cannot be grown all of them in the same place.
If you are serious with doing bonsai. Get some locally hardy materials from your local garden center and start create your bonsai. But before that, start to study so you understand what bonsai is and is not. Get a book, watch some youtube clips and join a club.

oh I feel a bit silly then. I was under the impression that the bonsai kits would only sell seeds that would do well pretty much everywhere. I read the little booklet it brought and followed all the instructions. hmm, im a bit sad but its ok. Is there a way to know which seeds would do well in florida? I'm in south florida if that helps. it's usually pretty hot all year round.

what are the conifer seeds? I assume thats the norway seed? Since I saw someone here mention they need to be in the old.
also where should I be putting the seedlings? outside in direct sunlight? also when should I be attempting to plant seeds? since I saw someone say I shouldn't plant them all year round since they would be weaker. Should I only attempt to do so in spring time?

Yes, i'd like to dive into the hobby and have a handful of different bonsai I would consider "pretty". I know it's not much help considering pretty is rather vague due to it's subjectivity.
from quick google search: it says Red Maple (Acer rubrum): would be ok. (I think this looks very pretty in pictures), I think the cherry blossom tree is very pretty but I dont think this would do well in south florida (however I read there are different species that look similar that would do well in south florida). I was looking at azaleas and some of them look very pretty. I'd like to add I find eastern asian asthethic very pleasing to the eyes.
hopefully any of this helps...
