Haha nah its spring already here,so do you mean i must just let it grow mad to the end of spring? Does anyone know the extent of trimming i can carry out in Summer?

If you want to thicken the trunk should not be too cut the branches ... and in my respectful view the priority is to have a decent trunk before branching to work.

Yeah i agree daniele. This is why i am so tempted to just plant it in the ground until the trunk is very thick

Correct me if I'm wrong however, putting the tree in a large pot would be the next best thing to putting it in the ground, I believe.

if the tree isn't in a catastrophic situation it's better to wait until the fall.
I know neither your climate neither location of your trees but if you can assure him a partial shade and well manage watering it must also be feasible.

I repot in every season. Main thing to worry about: Is the tree strong, and how much damage will I do to the roots. If you are just going to take it out of container A, and put it in bigger contaner B without doinbg anything to the roots, there is nog reason why you can't do that any time of the year.

Ok cool, great points guys. Lb i will then take the tree and just put it in another pot without touching the roots
