I am brand new to this. I just aquired 6-8 seedlings of Japanese Maple.They are from this spring. How do I procede? They are about 2-3 in tall and right now just in potting soil.

Are they all close together still? It would help by gently separating them into individual pots and begin fertilizing them a few weeks after repoting.

howdy and welcome to the site...i would keep them were they are for now to get a good root system established and plant them in the ground if possible next year. do you know what species of j. maple they are? i ask because differant cultivators need slightly different conditions.mostlt sunlight some can handle it and some cant.

These are my future trees. I don't know what type of J.Maple they are. The tree I got them from is in full sun, and is the biggest J.Maple tree I have ever seen. about 20ft tall and was spreading seedlings everywhere.

I did seperate them, what kind of fertlizer should I use?

try some organic fertilizer, that way you cant burn the roots. See if you can find bounceback or seagrow
