Coral Bark Japanese Maple -

I just got a clipping from a Japanese Maple and want to root it and turn into Bonsai.

Any ideas or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

(I live in Los Angeles CA if that makes any difference)

Thanks

Some trees root easier than others. This is basically how you do it...
Take a small cutting from a healthy tree, new growth roots easier.
remove the leaves on the lower part of the cutting. dip it in rooting hormone and plant it in a pot. Cover the pot with plastic to create a mini greenhouse. mist the leaves often... Keep the pot out of direct sunlight and wait. When new growth appears you have roots.
Good luck.
