Well...all is not lost with this hydrangea. I almost forgot that I had 2 cuttings from the original tree. I looked at them today and decided this is the one I'm going to use. It's going to stay in this pot for a few years.


Why keep it in a pot? I assume you would like to fatten the trunk? Best done in the ground?

I think I will put it in the ground in my front yard for a few years.The trunk needs lots of fattening.

Hi. New here and also never heard of an hydrangea bonsai. Thx for posting this. I'm very interested as I love hydrangeas. I just purchased one for my "regular" garden, but haven't put it in the ground yet. Now you've given me an idea. . . :)
