Need help I.D.-ing my Bonsai was created by JFWilliamson

Hi Forum,

I've just bought myself the bonsai in the photo, unfortunately I'm having trouble identifying it. The label says "Crassula Bonsai" but once I googled the species after getting home, I found out that it's the smaller plant in the corner, while I'd also like to focus my attention on the bigger one. Can anyone help me with identifying it, please?

Jamie,
Could it be a Pomegramate? I though at first Ficus, but now I am not so sure. to me not well growm. Looks like it has had no light to get that badly grown. You need to cut the stems back . You need also to get that other plant out of the pot.

It could be Pomegranate I suppose, the leaves look well similar. After trimming back the overgrown stems a milky substance was excreted. Yes I agree with you, in fact I've plucked the Crassula and repotted that elsewhere. Time to give it some TLC!

Thanks Geoff!

In that case Ficus. The milky substance is the giveaway. The thick stump also was what I was looking at, but I was not sure withtthe leaves. It is a poorly grown plant. Should come back, but take care with the watering. Put in good light and it should recover

Hey guys, I think I've narrowed it down correctly to be a Ligustrum Sinense.

Well, I'm not so sure, but time will tell.
Either way it is not hardy and needs frost protection.
