This is a picture I took of my little collection of trees last month. The only finished tree is my pine (center, second row) haha.

Hey, hey Lance,

That's quite the eclectic gang you have there. You even have a Sumac Bonsai...how cool! I never thought of that! We have tons of Sumac growing around here in the wild. What a wonderful variety of trees. From what I can see of it, your little pine looks good. What is growing in the large, clay pot on top of the redwood table?...with the interesting looking nebari?

Beautiful collection! I like the large number that are in regular flower pots; it makes me feel less embarrassed for only having two trees in an actual bonsai pot. I also like the jar of random sticks, do you practice your carving on them?

Hi there. The random sticks are willow branches that are rooting in water.I havent tried my hand at carving....yet. I suppose I will try once I'm a little more comfortable with potting, wiring, clipping and such.

I know what you mean. I've been practicing on old willow wood that came off of a huge branch that came down in a storm. I wish I'd known about rooting then, because it would have made some great bonsai! Ah well, live and learn.

you certainly are right about a bonsai never being finished. My pine is the only one in a bonsai pot.
