Sapreste dirmi qualcosa in merito?
Vi ringrazio in anticipo!

P.S.: Sono nati dei fruscelli sul tronco, proprio alla base dei rami principali. Ho letto che si devono tagliare in modo da far rivitalizzare i rami principali. E' giusto come ragionamento?

Dispiace, sto apprimendito italiano, ma noi non parliamo italiano qui. Puoi pubblicare la tua domanda in inglese?

I'm going to give it a try. Will be a nice excercise :)

"I am looking for someone who can help me with a delicate matter concerning my bonsai.
It was given to me about 2 y ears ago. I have pruned it last year and it stayed in good health, but now it seems in a critical condition and I have ordered (terriccio? Soil?) and akadama to (repot?) it, prune the roots and prune (back?) the branches, but I am not sure how to do the right thing.

Can someone advise me what to do based on the photos that are (attached?).
Can you tel me something (worthwhile?)

I thank you in advance!

P.S.: They were born (fruscelli??) on the trunk, just at the base of the main roots. I read they must be cut to revitalize the main branches. Is that a correct reasoning"

Who can translate 'Fruscelli' for me? The line now doesn't seem to make sense :)

That plastic at the base of the trunk, I think that has got to do with the line I do not understand.
What are you trying to do there? You write :

"Sono nati dei fruscelli sul tronco, proprio alla base dei rami principali. Ho letto che si devono tagliare in modo da far rivitalizzare i rami principali"

It looks like you are trying to air layer it - you write that you want to make cut there?
That makes on sense. If you 're trying to air-layer: that's not the way to do it. I you've only put it there for another reason, to 'revitalize' it, that doesn't make sense either. But let's wait for the correct translation.

This plant is in bad condition indeed.
Do you keep it at that location? Seems to me it doesn't get much light there.
The pot it seems in seems to be a pot for house-plants. Does it have drainage holes?

Sorry, I wrote the message in Italian, because I was convinced to be in an Italian forum :)
Your translation is correct.
Terriccio = soil
Rinvasare = repot
Ripotare = prune back
Allego = allegare = to attach
Fruscelli = Little branches

Thanks for the help, I've learned a few more words :)

Can you answer the questions I asked?

Yes, I keep it in the same location as it is in the picture. Maybe I have to bring it in a better place with more light.
The pot has drainage holes, but I haven't moved the ficus from that pot since it was given to me (almost 2 years ago).
I would repot Arturo (the name of my Ficus) in an other new pot and change the soil, cutting a little bit the roots and the branches.
The plastic at the top of the trunk was different at the beginning and I have changed it, but I think I did the worst thing in maintaining it.
I'm a beginner with bonsais, so I have to learn a lot of things and I have fear of doing always the wrong thing.
If you could tell me your opinions to save it, I would appreciate them.
