Bonsai Safety was created by Mathers

I'm new to Bonsai Empire. I love Bonsai trees and I'd really like to own one... maybe a few. Problem is that I own 2 indoor cats and, from the fate of bouquets of flowers we sometimes receive, I wouldn't give much for a bonsai tree's life when those two decide this tree is the 'ennemy.' I would not want to lock my bonsai tree in a special room where the cats don't go because then, what's the point of owning them if we can't enjoy looking at them.

Would bonsai trees survive in one of those mini-greenhouses... or something homemade like a converted fish tank (with a cover that lets air in but too small to let a cat's paw in?) Has this problem been addressed before and are there better solutions?

Thank you for your help!

Well... as they are indoor cats, and trees belong outside, there shouldn't be a problem (assuming you really mean bonsai, not indoor plants).

Sorry, I must not have expressed myself well. I mean the little bonsai trees (5-6 inches high)

like all other plants, bonsai typically belong outside. Only very few species of plants used cannot stay outsie yearround.
