Me again - Short-timer

I have this Boxwood. Beautiful slanted trunk , nice and thick. Actually started from plant nursery stock. Has always been an outdoor plant. Most winters returned to the earth and covered with leaves. Las few years, kept in an insulated but unheated garage that would drop a few degrees below freezing for a few weeks.

I am led to believe that Boxwood can also thrive as indoor plants. Is this true? Can I bring it in and keep it indoors or does it need the dormancy of winter?

I need a good solid position on this question based upon experience as this is my best bonsai and I want it to survive long after I'm gone (which isn't far out there).

Thanks,

Short-timer

Box is a hardy species and should not be kept inside. There is no need to protect it.
