Why? I can't see the difference between mallsai and this. what's so special about this one?. Very young specimen, no ramification at all, just an S shape trunk with some pom-pom like foliage here and there.
Don't take this as criticism. I am a beginner myself. I've just read BonsaiLearner before ,and he seems knowledgeable and more experienced than me. So I really want to know what's more special of this tree than a regular mallsai. Just trying to learn here.

I would agree. Great to get started and practice techniques. However, turning this into a convincing bonsai is hard as the trunkshape is set unrealitically.
