Good afternoon. Can somebody tell me what is the plant that is used as a backdrop for the bonsai at exhibitions. It is located next to the tree on a separate stand and sometimes has the most unusual shape and form.

It's called "kusamono". Bonsai Empire answered me in facebook. Thank you, Bonsai Empire.

That is a very specific artstyle, not specifically used for bonsai accents, but could be applied.

I believe it is called kusamono if it is being displayed by itself and shitakusa if it is used as an accent. Let me know if I have that confused.
