After shedding all its leaves during the summer due to a fungal disease, I thought this small Calliandra was dead for good.
My fault of course, overwatering the little tree in this crazy wet summer (it's been raining every day).
Well, after letting it dry, doing an emergency reppoting and three doses of Daconil (warning: Daconil is dangerous! Goggles, gloves and and some clothing protection are needed) , it is beginning to come back.
Lesson learned!

Still not dead? Still not doing bonsai then!?

That is not bonsai, it is just a stick in a pot. And who grows Albezia anyway! That is only suitable for the tropics. Inside it will die !

:)
:woohoo:

I didn't mention "bonsai", I said "small Calliandra"...

Wow! Albezia! My Powderpuff was upgraded!

Yes, inside in the Northern Hemisphere it will die, but...
This is Brazil! We can do whatever we fancy on tropicals and they just refuse to die!
YEAH!

;)

Well, thanks!
In fact it was a little stressful seeing the tree with no foliage in the middle of our summer;
But patience is the name of this bonsai game!

I know the feel. I have several trees in ground that lost foliage over summer due to lot of rain and fungi.. All came back pretty nice :)
