Well, let's see if anyone can help me.
One of my JBP, and only one, has all tips of the needles going brown.
It had a scale infestation some weeks ago, I managed to get rid of the insects (the needles were going yellow/brown from the middle), but now the tips are those going bad again.
I have done my research and asked before coming to your help, but there are some dangerous possibilities and if I have to act, I want it to be fast!
The options seem to be:
- Alcaline soil
- Heat (but the other pines are in the same bench, and they are OK)
- Generic Fungus (yes, it's been raining a lot lately)
- Dothistroma needle blight, which can kill my pine.
As I don't want to be using Daconil so much (in fact I try to avoid it), I have already tried the 3% Peroxide cure, and the "let it dry" method, both with no success.
Any hints? Any help?
