TOPIC: Fungi on fertilizer

Fungi on fertilizer 5 months 4 days ago #41348

Hello,
I have a problem with my fertilizer. On two of my bonsai trees' fertilizer pellets there have evolved fungi on. I am pretty sure of it is fungi. I use Biogold fertilizer. Any idea of why? or What I should do?
Thank you for your attention:)

It's mould.
I use Biogold on all my bonsai, and just put them inside teabags.

The white fungi that shows up on fertilizer isn't really a problem. A little bit isn't going to hurt the tree. In fact, it's symbiotic. The fungi breaks down organic material, increasing the bioavailability of chemical substances that the tree needs to grow.

I would like to know more about this :) Could you please give more info or references?
In planted terrariums, I use springtails on the soil to prevent fungi growth, but there I didn’t need to use any fertilizer.

/And I use isopods also, but for a different job. Together they working like a bio cleaning and fertilizer crew.. ;) /
