I have tiny bugs in both of my bonsai. The emerge from the soil. They are on on any other part of either tree. They come up from the soil and then die almost immediately! I just keep finding 10 to 20 bugs all around the outside of the pot ever other day or so. They do not look like any of the bugs pictured in the disease section. PLEASE HELP!!! I LOVE MY BONSAI!!!

I'm new to this forum, and new to bonsai care... 'pretty excited to find this online! So, your question sort of adds another question for me... I'm a fan of using diatomaceous earth on my outdoor "in the ground" plants, and a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide (for indoor houseplants plants to kill the bug eggs). Would diatomaceous earth harm this gentleman's bonsai? 'any reason we shouldn't use it?
Thank you.
Thank you.

DE is fine to be used in bonsai.
Peroxide is fine (3%, 1 tbsp / liter of water ) to kill some eggs and larvae in the soil and will not harm the roots.
