Hi,

I recently purchased a 9yr old Chinese Elm, it's my first bonsai, very impressed with it so far, I only have it a week and there's some really good growth since I purchased it.

I'm starting to notice dark spots and holes in some leaves, I've been watering every second day, and is getting some morning and evening sunlight as suggested..

Is this normal or is it a disease if so what can I do to remedy..

Thanks guys.

Keep observing.
For the moment it looks normal, but if it gets worse or spreads, could be a fungus.
If it looks healthy, spray the leaves and the soil with horticultural Neen oil, in a shaded area.
it does no harm to the tree but prevents fungi.
